Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, where Turboinštitut thrives, is, as numerous visitors will tell you, a people-friendly city. Although Ljubljana is categorised as a medium sized European city, it offers everything a metropolis has, yet it preserves its small-town friendliness. It is the political and cultural heart of the Slovenian nation; an important European commercial, business, cultural and congress centre, as well as a transport, science and education centre of Slovenia . Ljubljana lies at the junction of important travel routes leading from Northern Europe to the Adriatic, and from Western Europe to the East, the Balkans and the Middle East. It is easily accessible by plane, with direct flights from the main European airports, or by train from all surrounding countries. Only 135 km away from Zagreb (Croatia), 249 km from Venice and 519 km from Milan (Italy), 395 km from Vienna (Austria), 430 km from Munich (Germany) and 591 km from Budapest (Hungary), Ljubljana is also very easily accessible by road. Turboinštitut is located in the north-west part of Ljubljana (see the map) at the foot of a green hill, and only 500 m away from the on/off highway ramp to/from Kranj. Its large, white building – a laboratory with many windows – is easily recognised from far away. ROUTE PLANS
